On Sunday 19th May New Melville Bridge Club will be holding their annual one-day F2F congress at the club. This congress is open to all.
 
The Congress starts at 1:00 pm with a 24 board pairs tournament followed at 5:00 pm by a Swiss Teams tournament comprising four matches of six boards per match.

NEBA match

Berwick Parish Centre

The NEBA match is the annual friendly match between the East District and the North East Bridge Association. Two teams of eight will represent the East District and participation is by invitation. The A team plays for the The Newcastle Journal Challenger Trophy, won by NEBA in 2023; and the B team competes for the Edinburgh Salver, currently held by the East District. Although the A match is typically very competitive, the B match tends to be friendlier with a mix of players, including at least one young pair and some bronze pairs.

The event is hosted in Berwick-upon-Tweed and will be played according to EBU regulations this year. It starts at 1pm and 48 boards will be played in both matches.

Dunbar Congress

Dunbar Congress will be in Haddington this year at the Maitlandfield House Hotel on Sunday 29th September.

Proceeds all going to Macmillan Nurses.  Starting time 1.30pm Cost £32.

Should be handier for people travelling from Edinburgh and beyond.

If you no longer wish to play in an event, you can use the Cancellation Link which is included in your emailed entry receipt, so hang on to that.

If you need to change your lineup, please contact the convener directly (as shown on the event details page).  You could also cancel and re-enter.

General Notes

Please take care when entering your email address - we use this to contact you about the event.  You may if you wish add your contact telephone number - if you are adding your name to an event waiting list, please do this so we can get in touch as soon as a space becomes available.

Players should endeavour to arrive at the venue or be in position online at least 15 minutes before the start of the event – anyone unable to attend should make every effort to inform the Convener. 

BBO Competitions

For most BBO events you simply register in BBO as usual, making sure you allow enough time.  You must also register your BBO user name in MEMPAD or you won't be able to play.

If you get this error you will need to refresh the registration page and may have to re-enter your information.  Payment is separate and unaffected - if you have already paid just tick the "I have paid" box before submitting (do not try to pay twice!).  The ReCAPTCHA module protects us from automated spam but very occasionally finds something to complain about in a normal entry.
